Squid
A few weeks ago, I designed an origami squid.

Then, I taught it at Cal Origami.

The squid was folded using 25cm kami. 15cm kami and 7.5cm kami are doable too, but I don’t recommend it unless you are masochistic. It is kind of like a 22.5 design, but that’s not really how I designed it. I’d describe the design process as throwing tricks at a frog base. I used point splits, color change, and some other tricks.
I figured out how to make diagrams recently in order to make diagrams for the East Bay Origami Convention (EBOC), so maybe I’ll publish diagrams for the squid sometime. EBOC was fantastic, and I’ll need to write a blog post about that too.
